[Main Ingredients] Carbasalate calcium

[Description] This drug is of white or off-white powder.

[Pharmacological Action] Antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory drug. This drug is a salt of aspirin calcium complexed with urea. After oral administration of carbasalate calcium to pigs and chickens, it is absorbed quickly and the hydrolysis product is aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid). Aspirin is absorbed quickly, mainly metabolized by the liver, and rapidly degraded into salicylic acid in the body. This drug mainly exerts antipyretic and analgesic effects through aspirin.

[Function and Use] Antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory drug, for the control of fever and pain in pigs and chickens.

[Dosage and Administration] On the basis of this drug. Oral administration: 80mg/time per 1kg of body weight for pigs; 80-160mg/time per 1kg of body weight for chickens.

[Adverse Reaction] No adverse reactions have been observed with the proper use of the recommended dosage and administration.

[Precautions] (1) For chickens that lay eggs for human consumption, this drug should not be used during the egg laying period.

(2) This drug should not be used together with other salicylic acid antipyretic and analgesic drugs.

(3) If this drug is used together with glucocorticoids, it can exacerbate gastrointestinal bleeding. If this drug is used together with alkaline drugs, the efficacy will be reduced.

(4) Continuous medication should not exceed 5 days.
