[Description] This drug is of white or off-white powder.
[Pharmacological Action] Insect repellent and insecticide. The action mechanism of trichlorphon is to combine with the cholinesterase in the parasite, so that the cholinesterase loses its activity, causing a large amount of acetylcholine accumulation, interfering with the excitation transmission of the nerve and muscle of the parasite, leading to paralysis and death of the sensitive parasite. Trichlorphon is effective against most nematodes parasitic in the digestive tract and has a certain effect on ectoparasites. Trichlorphon is absorbed quickly by oral administration and metabolized quickly in the body, mainly through urine.
[Function and Use] Insect repellent and insecticide, for driving and killing a variety of gastrointestinal nematodes, ticks, mites, fleas, lice, etc. in livestock.
[Dosage and Administration] On the basis of this drug. Oral administration of usual dose: 90.4-150.6mg/time per 1kg of body weight for horses, 60.2-120.5mg/time per 1kg of body weight for cattle, 241.0-301.2mg/time per 1kg of body weight for sheep, 150.6-210.8mg/time per 1kg of body weight for goats, and 241.0-301.2mg/time per 1kg of body weight for pigs.
Oral administration of maximum dose: 60.2g/time for horses and 45.2g/time for cattle.
[Adverse Reaction] The safety range of trichlorphon is narrow. Its treatment dose may cause mild parasympathetic excitement in animals. Overdose of it may cause poisoning symptoms, mainly including salivation, abdominal pain, pupil contraction, dyspnea, coma and even death.
[Precautions] (1)It is forbidden to be used together with alkaline drugs.
(2) It is prohibited to be used for pregnant animals and animals suffering from heart disease and gastroenteritis
(3) It should be used with caution for ruminants, because they are sensitive to this drug and prone to adverse reactions.
(4) In case of poisoning by taking this drug, atropine and pralidoxime iodide should be used for rescue.
(5) Drug containers should be properly disposed of after use and should not be discarded at will.
