[Main Ingredients] Sulfachloropyrazine sodium

[Description] This drug is of light yellow powder.

[Pharmacological Action] This drug is a sulfonamide anticoccidial drug, with its peak action period targeting the second generation of schizonts in coccidia, and it also has a certain effect on the first generation of schizonts. Therefore, this drug has strong antibacterial properties and is also effective against avian pasteurellosis and typhoid fever, but does not affect the host’s immunity to coccidia.

After oral administration, this drug is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, reaching peak plasma concentrations within 3-4 hours, and is quickly excreted via the kidneys.

[Function and Use] Sulfonamide anticoccidial drug, for the treatment of coccidiosis in sheep, chickens, and rabbits.

[Dosage and Administration] On the basis of this drug. Mixed drinking: 1g per 1L of water for broilers and turkeys, administered for 3 consecutive days. Mixed feeding: 2000g per 1000kg of fodders for broilers and turkeys, administered for 3 consecutive days; 2000g per 1000kg of fodders for rabbits, administered for 5-10 consecutive days. Oral administration: 1.2 ml/day per 1kg of body weight for sheep (prepared to 10% aqueous solution), administered for 3-5 consecutive days.

[Adverse Reaction] No adverse reactions have been observed with the proper use of the recommended dosage and administration.

[Precautions] (1) This drug cannot be used for hens laying eggs for human consumption during the laying period.

(2) The continuous administration of the drug through drinking water should not exceed 5 days.

(3) It should not be added to fodders for long-term use.

[Withdrawal Period] 4 days for turkeys, 1 day for broilers, and 28 days for sheep and rabbits.
