[Main Ingredients] Diclazuril

[Pharmacological Action] Diclazuril is a triazine-based anticoccidial drug that primarily inhibits the proliferation of sporozoites and meronts, with its peak activity against coccidia occurring during the sporozoite and first meront stages (that is the initial 2 days of the coccidia life cycle). It has coccidiostatic properties and is effective against all stages of coccidia development. Besides, diclazuril has a coccidial effect against Eimeria species in poultry, including E. tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. brunetti, and E. maxima, as well as Eimeria ankorensis and Eimeria stiedae. After being mixed into chicken feed, a small portion of diclazuril is absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract, but due to the low dosage, the total amount absorbed is minimal, resulting in low tissue residue levels. When administered at a dose of 1mg/kg mixed in feed, the average residue level in chicken tissues was found to be less than 0.063mg/kg on the 7th day after the last administration. Diclazuril has low toxicity and is safe for livestock and poultry. However, long-term use of this product can easily induce drug resistance, thus it should be used in rotation or for short-term periods. The effect of this product is short-lived, with its action essentially disappearing 2 days after discontinuation.

[Function and Use] Anticoccidial drug, for the prevention of coccidiosis in poultry and rabbits.

[Dosage and Administration] On the basis of this drug. Mixed feeding: 200g per 1000 kg of fodders for poultry and rabbits.

[Adverse Reaction] No adverse reactions have been observed with the proper use of the recommended dosage and administration.

[Precautions] (1) It can be used in commercial feed and during the breeding process.

(2) Poultry that produce eggs for human consumption must not use it during the laying period.

(3) This drug has a short duration of action. The anticcoccidial efficacy is significantly reduced after one day of withdrawal, and is essentially absent after two days. Therefore, continuous administration is necessary to prevent coccidiosis recurrence.

(4) The concentration of this product when mixed with feed is extremely low; therefore, the feed and medication should be thoroughly mixed to ensure effectiveness. Otherwise, it may affect the therapeutic outcome.

[Withdrawal Period] 5 days for chickens and 14 days for rabbits.
