[Description] This drug is of white or off-white powder.

[Pharmacological Action] Antihelmintic. Levamisole is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic, and its mechanism of action is to excite the vegetative ganglia of sensitive nematodes, exciting, paralyzing and expelling the worms from the body. At high concentrations, levamisole can also block the reduction of fumaric acid and oxidation of succinic acid, interfering with the sugar metabolism of nematodes. Levamisole has good anthelmintic activity against most gastrointestinal nematodes in cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs and chickens. It also has good activity against most adult gastrointestinal nematodes, but has a poor effect on immature worms, and a poor or inaccurate effect on strongyloides, trichuris and whipworms.

[Function and Use] Antihelmintic, for the treatment of gastrointestinal nematodiasis, pulmonary filariasis and kidney worm disease in pigs.

[Dosage and Administration] On the basis of this drug. Oral administration: 75 mg/time per 1kg of body weight for cattle, sheep and pigs, 100 mg/time per 1kg of body weight for dogs and cats, and 250 mg/time per 1kg of body weight for poultry.

[Adverse Reaction] Overdose can cause the symptoms of parasympathetic excitation, salivation, excitement or trembling; gastrointestinal disorders such as vomiting, diarrhea, dyspnea and etc.

[Precautions] (1) It is prohibited during lactation period.

(2) It should be used with caution for cattle after being vaccinated, dehorned, castrated or in other stress states, or for extremely weak animals or those with significant renal injuries.

[Withdrawal Period] 2 days for cattle, 3 days for sheep, 3 days for pigs and 28 days for poultry.
