[Description] This drug is of white or off-white powder.

[Pharmacological Action] Antibiotic drug. This drug exhibits antibacterial effects on numerous Gram-negative bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella, Salmonella, and so forth, as well as on Staphylococcus aureus, encompassing strains that produce β-lactamase. However, this antibiotic is ineffective against the majority of cocci—like Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Enterococcus faecalis—and against anaerobic bacteria such as Bacteroides or Clostridium, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Rickettsia, and fungi.

[Function and Use] Aminoglycoside antibiotics, for the treatment of infections in chickens caused by susceptible Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.

[Dosage and Administration] On the basis of this drug. Mixed drinking: 2g per 1L of water for chickens, administered for 3-5 consecutive days.

[Adverse Reaction] Relatively severe damage can be caused to the kidneys.

[Precautions] (1) It is prohibited during the egg production period of laying hens.

(2) Concurrent use with cephalosporins may enhance nephrotoxicity.

[Withdrawal Period] 28 days for chickens.
