[Veterinary Drug Name]
Generic name: Amoxicillin Soluble Powder
Trade name: Axike
English name: Amoxicillin Soluble Powder
Pinyin: Amoxilin Kerongxingfen
[Main Ingredients] Amoxicillin
[Description] This drug is of white or off-white powder.
[Pharmacological Action] Pharmacodynamics: Amoxicillin belongs to β-lactam antibiotics and has broad-spectrum antibacterial effect. The antibacterial spectrum and antibacterial activity are basically the same as ampicillin, but the antibacterial activity against most Gram-positive bacteria is slightly weaker than penicillin. It is sensitive to penicillinase and ineffective against penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. It has a strong effect on Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Proteusbacillus vulgaris, Salmonella, Haemophilus, Brucella and Pasteurella, but these bacteria are prone to drug resistance. It is not sensitive to Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It has better curative effect on systemic infection as its absorption in monogastric animals is better than ampicillin, and its blood concentration is higher. It is suitable for systemic infections such as respiratory system, urinary system, skin and soft tissue caused by sensitive bacteria.
Pharmacokinetics: Amoxicillin is quite stable to gastric acid, and 74%-92% is absorbed by monogastric animals after oral administration. The contents of gastrointestinal tract influence the absorption rate of this drug, without influence on absorption degree. Accordingly, this drug can be administered by mixed feeding. After oral administration of equivalent dose, the serum concentration of amoxicillin is 1.5-3 times higher than that of ampicillin.
[Drug Interaction] (1) When this drug is used together with aminoglycosides, the concentration of aminoglycosides in the thallus can be improved, exhibiting a synergistic effect.
(2) Macrolides, tetracyclines, amide alcohols and other fast-acting bacteriostatic agents interfere with the bactericidal action of this drug and this drug is inappropriate to be used together with such fast-acting bacteriostatic agents.
[Function and Use] β-lactam antibiotics, for the treatment of Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria, which are sensitive to amoxicillin, infection in chickens.
[Dosage and Administration] On the basis of this drug. Oral administration: 0.2-0.3g/time per 1kg of body weight for chickens, twice a day, administered for 5 consecutive days; mixed drinking: 0.6g/time per 1L of water for chickens, administered for 3-5 consecutive days.
[Adverse Reaction] It has a strong interference effect on the normal flora of gastrointestinal tract.
[Precautions] (1) This drug cannot be used for hens laying eggs for human consumption during the laying period.
(2) It is inappropriate to be used for penicillin-resistant Gram-positive bacteria infection.
(3) It should be used immediately upon preparation.
