[Description] This drug is of colorless and slightly viscous transparent liquid.
[Pharmacological Action] Avermectin is an anti-nematode drug that has a 97%-100% expulsion rate against adult and fourth stage larvae of sheep haemonchus, Osterhabditis, Gubei nematode, trichostrongyle (including trichostrongylus), strongyle, Bunostomum, slender neck nematode, Trichomonas elegans, Oesophagostomum, Dictyocaulus, as well as sheep Charcot nematode. It is also effective against arthropods such as maggots and lice, but slightly less effective against chewing lice and sheep ticks and flies. Its elimination rate of roundworms, red pig roundworms, strongyloides ransomi, Trichomonas elegans, Oesophagostomum, Metastrongylus apri, toothed crowned tail nematodes and immature worms in pigs is 94%-100%. Moreover, it is highly effective against intestinal trichina (no effect on muscle trichina) and has a good control effect on pig blood lice and pig scabies mites. However, it is ineffective against flukes and tapeworms. In addition, as an insecticide, avermectin has broad-spectrum activity against aquatic and agricultural insects, mites, and fire ants.
[Drug Interaction]: If this drug is used together with diethylcarbamazine, it may cause severe or fatal brain disease.
[Function and Use] Antibiotics, for the treatment of nematode diseases, mite diseases, and parasitic insect diseases in livestock.
[Dosage and Administration] Subcutaneous injection: 0.2ml per 10kg of body weight for sheep; 0.3ml per 10kg of body weight for pigs.
[Adverse Reaction] There is discomfort or temporary edema at the injection site.
[Precautions] (1) This drug cannot be used during lactation.
(2) This drug is limited to subcutaneous injection only, as intramuscular and intravenous injection can easily cause toxic reactions. Each subcutaneous injection point should not exceed 10ml.
(3) Avermectin injection containing glycerol formaldehyde and propylene glycol is only suitable for sheep and pigs. If this drug is used in other animals, especially dogs and horses, it can easily cause serious local reactions.
(4) Due to the high toxicity of avermectin to shrimp, fish, and aquatic organisms, the packaging of residual drugs should not contaminate water sources.
